The Sebastinian community officially welcomed its new students during the Orientation
Program headed by the Student Development & Placement Center Office June, 2016. The
series of orientation programs for the Senior High School (SHS) Students were scheduled
from June 7- 11, 2016 at the St. Augustine Multi-Purpose Hall, June 10, 2016 for
the Lower Basic Education Department (LBED) at the St. Augustine Auditorium, and
June 17, 2016 for the College Department, at the Audio Visual Room 2.
Rev. Fr. James Dexter R. Tanquis, OAR, VP for Academics, welcomed the attendees of
the orientations. Mrs. Cristina M. Aliwalas, Basic Education Principal, presented
the Vision, Mission, Values and Objectives to the LBED students. Mrs. Olivia Del
Rosario, Academic Coordinator of LBED, discussed the grading system; Mrs. Maribel
Ordoñez and Miss Ma. Gladys Lim, Prefects of Discipline, talked about the policies
of the school concerning students’ behavior while Mr. Felipe R. Costuna, Jr., Chief
of Safety and Security, discussed the Safety and Security measures of the institution.
Meanwhile, Mr. Rheymard G. Doneza, Public Relations Officer presented the Vision,
Mission, Values, and Objectives and introduced the Religious and Lay Administrators
to the SHS and college students in separate sessions; Mrs. Maria Soledad T. Tubay,
SHS Principal discussed the voucher program and student assessment; Miss Melissa
B. Puti, Director of Student Affairs, explained the general policies, rules, and
regulation of the school; and Rev. Fr. Arian Josef M. Ocheda, OAR, VP for Finance,
and Mr. Christopher C. Lim, Comptroller, talked about the services of the Accounting
Office. Mrs. Rosalita P. Samoy, Dean of the College of Accountancy, Business Administration
and Hospitality Management talked about the Academic Requirements for Dean’s Listers
and Latin Honors.
