MG1 - PRINCIPLES OF MANAGEMENT & ORGANIZATION

This course deals with the fundamentals of business organizations and management. The theories and principles of organization and management, as well as their application in business and industry are thoroughly discussed. The functions of management (Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing and Controlling) and the different forms of business ownership with their strengths and weaknesses form part of the course coverage. The course covers the benefits derived from entrepreneurship and importance of social responsibility as another goal of business.

MG2 - HUMAN BEHAVIOR IN ORGANIZATION

The course introduces the students to the factors affecting the behavior of individuals and groups in organization focusing on the specific factors that tend to ex-plain behavior of individuals, groups and organizations. Various theories and models of organizational behavior, work group behavior, motivation in life and work, and human relations among others are discussed and related to organizational practices and phenomena.

HR1 - HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

The course deals with the study of the roles of human resources in an organization, and the organization structure of the HRD. It also discusses job organization and information, acquisition, maintenance, development and research on Human Resources. Trends and issues in HRM are also included to improve productivity.

MG3 - ENTREPRENEURIAL MANAGEMENT

The course aims to teach the approach entrepreneurs use in identifying opportunity and creating new ventures; the analytic skills that are necessary for dealing with the recurring issues involved in starting, growing and harnessing the value of new ventures.

Course Description

A. To equip the students with the core competencies to prepare them for a career in the field of Human Resource Management in various corporations whether in the manufacturing, marketing and service sectors, or in the different types of industries such as pharmaceutical, semi-conductor, food and beverage, banking industries and other types of organizations.

B. To enhance the students’ proficiency in the local and international arena by developing a curriculum that is congruent to those prescribed by CHED and the professional certification institutions and associations.

C. To develop the research ability of the students for the growth and the development of the industry.
