Library Study Zone
Find Your Study Zones at the Main Library! In order to support a wide range of activities inside the Main Library like independent research, collaborative study, quiet or silent study, the STV Libraries has designated zones for specific activities:
ACTIVE ZONE
Areas for active learning, working in groups or for collaborative works.
Areas Mapped as Active Zone: Reading Areas near the Circulation/Reserve Section, General Education Collection (SR-GEN), Filipiniana Collection (FIL); Graduate School Library and Internet Station.
QUIET ZONE
Areas for quiet reading and study or for individual who wish to study quietly.
Areas Mapped as Quiet Zone: Reading Areas near Periodicals/Serials Section (PER), Subject Reference Collection (SR), General Reference Collection (REF) and Fiction/Inspirational Books Area (F/BT).
This zoning policy will be implemented effective July 1, 2013 and any violation thereof shall be dealt accordingly. If you have a complaint about excessive noise or other inappropriate library behavior in these zones/areas, please report it to the Director of Libraries or to the Dean of Student Affairs.
